Should I Just Ride it Out with This Plant?

Postby BuddhaBud » Tue Dec 13, 2016 2:08 am

Ok... I wasn't sure where to put this, so sorry if it's in the wrong place!

So I started this girl back on August 26 - she's a Nirvana freebee, so I have no idea what she is (other than a nearly pure sativa). I vegged for 4 weeks, so we're in week 12 of flowering. Not many trichs on the leaves, and the (small) trichs on the buds are still pretty clear.

My question - do sativas really take that long to mature? I don't want it taking up space if it's never going to produce good, sugary bud. But if another few weeks might do the trick, I'd rather not waste all of the work making this girl grow.

I have almost no experience with sativas, so I appreciate the help!

thats pretty much how they grow mate.
but it could be ready now.
just pick a small bud at the bottom and have a trial smoke.
if it sends you to la la land then your ready to chop.

Ah, good point! Thank you.

I just clipped a bud and will try it out in a couple of days.

I just grew a handful of sativa plants and they looked just like that and were medium strong. I was happy with them. The trics did not get very amber before harvest, but I had the same problem as to harvest time. Don't go too long or you'll look with your looking glass and find less trics.

Hello! Purty plant you've got there!
Sativas typically needs longer flowering time to finish, it is not unusual for them to take 14 weeks or more.
You definitely don't want to harvest early, as much of its magic comes in the last weeks.
Good luck!

Typical Sativa  most all freebies from nirvana are Sativa...Just from looking @ pic doesn't appear to be ready.

So I'm wondering how things are going with this grow, or what the turn out was....

Hey Rocket - I've got a test bud drying out, and if all goes well, we'll be chopping this lady up tomorrow!
